8079 aluminum is an otherwise-unclassified alloy of aluminum. Cited properties are appropriate for the H14 temper. To achieve this temper, the metal is strain hardened to a strength that is roughly halfway between annealed (O) and full-hard (H18). 8079 is the Aluminum Association (AA) designation for this material. In European standards, it will be given as EN AW-8079. AlFe1Si is the EN chemical designation. Additionally, the UNS number is A98079.
